Along her career she has performed with acclaimed musicians such as Antonio Serrano, Celia Mur or Sole Giménez. She has also shared international projects such as the one led by the Cuban singer, Eme Alfonso, at the Women of the World (Havana World Music Festival) or VI Flamenco Bienal in Rome.

Outside the jazz scene, Lucia has worked as pianist, keyboardist, and music conductor in various renowned Madrid Gran Vía musicals, «Hoy no me puedo levantar» and «A quién le importa», large-scale events like the concert “Por Ellas” (WiZink Center) as well as important theater productions such as «Traición» by Kamikaze productions.

With her current jazz trio, Lucía Rey’s creations encompasses styles and sources of inspiration from a wide variety of origins; from classical music to pop or blues, latin music or flamenco, all from the Modern Jazz perspective.

With the first album «Reflexion», Lucia Rey trio became in a very short time part of the most prestigious festivals and jazz venues in Spain (Jazz Festival of Getxo, International Jazz en La Costa Festival, International Madrid Jazz Festival, Jazz Festival Lugo, Jazz Festival Cádiz, JAZZ I AM…) and is now in full internationalization (Festival Jazz Plaza of Cuba, Jazz in the Park (Romania), EUNIC Festival of Bucharest…). She has collaborated with her Jazz Trio in different commissions, such as the one prepared for the International Festival of Sacred Art of Madrid together with the mezzo-soprano Martha Knörr, where she directed a musical project about Hölderling, premiered at the Museo del Prado and Teatros del Canal in Madrid.

She has been recently awarded with the Centro Cultural Conde Duque Jazz Residency promoted and organized by the International Madrid Jazz Festival, in which she began to generate new material for her next album. In this new work, Lucia explores Spanish and Mediterranean traditional styles, fusing them with world music, jazz, and electronic languages. In this sound proposal you can clearly recognize the voice of the artist and her concerns about the current social reality.

In each live show, you can perceive the creative freedom that Lucía gives to herself and to her musicians. Each concert is a different experience that generates an intime dialogue between the musicians and the audience, always resulting in a new and fresh feeling.
